the process & inspiration:
•The Signet Ring design is timeless- worn as long ago as 3500 BC. These rings are a celebration of that history and the ancient hands-on process of making jewellery.
Each ring is sand-cast in solid sterling silver. The sand, the flow of the metal, and the casting process all influence the final result; no two rings turn out exactly alike. Once cast, significant filing and polishing go into each ring; with your choice of a full reflective finish or to keep the organic top-texture left by the sand. The intention is to refine each ring without removing all evidence of how it was made.
That's the beauty of sand casting: working with the process rather than trying to control every last detail. The result is a quality piece that feels individual, honest, and made to be worn for a lifetime.
